Working Together

Highlands Medical Center acquires Therapy Unlimited

When Jackson County residents consider where to receive outpatient therapy service, now the answer will simply be Highlands Medical Center. Just this year, Jackson County Health Care Authority acquired Therapy Unlimited in an effort to expand therapy services by adding staff and enhancing their existing therapy services through Highlands Therapy Center.

Highlands Therapy Center provides inpatient and outpatient therapy, therapy through Highlands Home Health and at Highlands Health & Rehab and Cumberland Health & Rehab. Therapy Unlimited, now an affiliate of Highlands Medical Center, will remain in its current location and work closely with Highlands Occupational Medicine Center, now located on Micah Way in Scottsboro.

"When pre-employment physicals are required by our local industries, both Therapy Unlimited and Highlands Therapy Center will be equipped to seamlessly assess employees and conduct those physicals," says Karen Adams, director of Highlands Therapy Center. "Having additional staff on board to support our outpatient and inpatient services at Highlands Medical Center will be very beneficial to our patients."

"We are excited about the merger with Highlands Medical Center. We know together we can be of greater service to our community," says Brandy Clemmons physical therapist at Therapy Unlimited. "Our name will remain the same, we will be an affiliate of Highlands Medical Center, and together we will work even harder to provide continued quality of care to all our patients."
